FAQ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. I was unable to complete my registration online. What should I do?
    First try the following steps:
    1. Check that pop-ups are deactivated;
    2. Try using the Internet Explorer browser;
    3. Try closing other windows so as not to overload the network;
    4. Check the network is stable and working at good speed. If none of this works, contact us on tel. no. (55) (11) 3263-0309.
  2. I forgot my login and password, what should I do?
    Enter the site, and click on recover password below login.
  3. At what time does the event start?
    CICE 2013 will begin at 8h00 a.m. sharp on April 25th with a brief message from Dr. Armando Lobato, Conference President.
  4. What are the working hours of the secretary′s office?
    From April 24 to 26 from 7h00 to 18h00 and on 27, from 7h00 to 14h00.
  5. Can I register in advance?
    Yes, registrations are open from December until April 9, 2013. The values however change every month.
  6. In case of personal problems, can I apply for a refund of my registration fee?
    According to the cancellation policy published on the site, refunds will only be given for applications sent by post with AR until 24/03/2013. After this date no request for refunds will be considered.
  7. Do I get a full refund of the value paid?
    No. Refunds will be made only for 70% of value paid and will be made in the same way as payment (whether in installments, credit card, etc...)
  8. Can I obtain my registration material in advance?
    No, the registration material will only be distributed as from 7h00 a.m. of 24/04/12, when the Secretary′s Office of the Event will open.
  9. Can I divide the payment of the registration fee on my credit card?
    Only registrations paid in advance with a value higher than R$1,050 may be paid by installments. The registrations made on the day of the event shall be paid in full by check, in cash or card.
  10. Can I pay with bank document on installments?
    No, payment option by bank document is for payment in full only.
  11. Can I take part in the conference even if I am not from the area?
    CICE 2013 is a medical event specialized in vascular and endovascular surgery. The public for this event includes physicians in general, preferably vascular and endovascular surgeons, angiology specialists, cardiovascular surgeons, radiologists and intervention cardiologists, nursing, scrub nurses and RX technicians who work with hemodynamics, medical academia, post-graduates, interns and residents interested in the subject, members from the endovascular material industry.
  12. Can my mother, wife and/or baby accompany me to the conference room?
    Only people regularly registered and preferably working in that specific area or in correlated areas may enter the conference room s. People accompanying participants are not admitted to the conference room s and according to ANVISA′s regulation cannot frequent the Exhibition area.
  13. Can my son attend the conference dinner?
    The CICE 2013 conference dinner will take place at CLUB A, that is, at a night club therefore only those over 18 years of age may attend.
  14. Is the price of the additional invitation for the conference dinner the same price for adults or children?
    The invitation for the conference dinner is one price only and intended only for those above 18 years of age.
  15. May I buy additional invitations? And if I don′t attend the conference dinner, can I have my money back?
    Yes, but only a few additional invitations will be available for sale, so make sure you guarantee your guest′s invitation. The closing date for refund is 24/03/2013 and after this date neither the registration fee nor the additional invitation will be reimbursed.
  16. Are there any social events for guests?
    No. CICE 2013 does not have registration or a social program for guests.
  17. When is the conference dinner?
    On 26/04/2013, from 20h30h until 01h00.
  18. Where is the conference dinner going to be held?
    At Club A, located on floor C of the Centro de Convenções do Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel.
  19. What is the conference dinner dress code for my guest and I?
    Men should wear a suit and tie and women a dress or a suit.
  20. Can I have more than one invitation for the conference dinner?
    No. Only 700 invitations will be given free for the party and each delegate regularly registered can only have one invitation subject to availability.
  21. How do I book a hotel?
    Hotel reservations with reduced prices specially negotiated for CICE 2013 can only be made on the website.
  22. Is there a transfer service from airports to the conference hotel and from the hotel to nearby hotels?
    No, CICE 2013 does not provide transport for conference delegates.
  23. What are the alternative routes to get to the conference?
    We have various suggestions for alternative routes; copy the following link on your browser (http://maps.google.com.br/maps?hl=pt-BR&tab=wl) and enter the starting point (the place where you are leaving), and it will give you the most suitable route. We wish you a pleasant and safe journey to the Conference!!!!
  24. Is there a locker service at the event?
    No. Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel only provides a room to keep the luggage of conference delegates staying at their hotel after check-out on 27/4/13.
  25. Is lunch included in the registration fees?
    No, it should be paid separately.
  26. Will there be Simultaneous Translation?
    Yes. English – Portuguese and Portuguese – English at WTC Theatre and at some of the sessions in Ballrooms 3 & 4.
  27. What are the prices for parking?
    We suggest that conference delegates, who are NOT staying at the Conference Hotel, use the parking lot for the D&D Shopping Mall since it is cheaper than using the Valet Parking at the entrance of the Hotel. For guests, parking at the Hotel is R$ 42,00 + 5% ISS tax.
  28. Is there a discount for conference delegates?
    Values are different for participants staying at the Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel.
  29. Are there restaurants for lunch/dinner in the region?
    The list of restaurants in the Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel and Shopping D&D complex is available under General Information.
  30. Do I have to present proof of medical residence?
    Yes, registrations under the medical residence, academic, nursing and RX technician categories will only be accepted upon proof of belonging to such category by means of documentation.
  31. Is there accommodation in other hotels near the event?
    The CICE 2013 event organization only deals with accommodation at the Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel.
  32. Will I receive a certificate of participation?
    Yes. All the participants regularly registered for the event will receive a certificate of participation.
  33. Will there be a poster presentation?
    No. CICE 2013 will address only free themes.
  34. If I do a presentation on a free theme even as a co-author will I receive a certificate?
    Only one certificate per free theme will be handed over containing the name of all co-authors. The same will be handed in to the presenter after the presentation. Interested co-authors should arrange to have copies made if desired.
  35. Can I stay at the event hotel for one day only?
    No, the special values offered are for a three-day package.
  36. If I have a suggestion to make, can I send it?
    Suggestions are always welcome and may be sent to the following e-mail secretariacice@icve.com.br.
  37. I have a doubt which I was not able to clarify. Can I contact you directly?

  38. I have not received my certificate for the previous year. Can I ask for it again? Is there a cost?
    Please send us an e-mail with your request, and we will check to see if it is available on our files, otherwise we will arrange for a new one to be sent to you by post. Please ensure your contact details are correct and updated.
  39. I can only take part in the Conference on one day. Can I have a discount?
    No, registration fees have one single price and are not divisible per day of participation.
  40. Can we attend the exhibition hall or conference rooms wearing shorts, exercise gear or swimming clothes?
    No. Admittance to these areas is restricted to conference delegates who should be properly attired (suit and a tie, dress, trousers and jackets or suits, skirts and blouses) and duly identified with the event badge.
  41. Can I smoke in the conference facilities?
    No. According to Law 577/2008, it is forbidden to smoke in closed public areas in the state of São Paulo. Smokers should go to the open area situated in front of the entrance to the hotel.
  42. Can I speak on the mobile in the conference rooms?
    No. In respect to speakers and other conference delegates, you are requested to leave the conference room to speak on the telephone.
  43. Will there be live cases at the event?
    Yes, every day except for Saturday morning when we will have an Interactive Session of nightmare cases.
  44. I have lost my badge, what should I do?
    Go to the Secretary′s Office of the event to have another badge made at the price of R$ 100 for a second copy and R$ 200 for a third copy.
  45. Can I attend the event without a badge?
    For security reasons, circulation of unidentified persons will not be permitted in the facilities of the event.
  46. Does the event provide a visitor′s badge?
    A visitor′s badge is for restricted use only (valid for one day to visit the Exhibition only) and evaluated case by case after submitting relevant documents.
